| Crappie: A very popular and abundant pan fish
can be found in all the warm water lakes in the area. Though they so
not seem to get very big you can catch a lot of them. |

| Small Mouth Bass: Small Mouths are identified
by the red eyes and smaller mouth than their Large Mouth cousins.
They prefer rocky structures in the deeper cooler waters of local
reservoirs. They can be found in the lower ends of feeder streams as
well. They are quite abundant and grow a couple to three pounds. |

| Blue Gill: Not the heaviest Panfish in
the pond but their numbers are plentiful and wide spread through out the
four corners. They are easily identified by the Blue slash at their gill
area. The back and sides are colored dark olive green with emerald and
brownish reflections. A small very aggressive fish, Blue gills are ideal
quarry for the little ones just learning their way around the tackle box. |

| Bull Head: The color of the
bullhead is olive to brown with dark spots on the sides, fading to white
or cream beneath. Fleshy barbs are dusky to black. The brown bullhead
lives largely upon insect larvae, crustaceans, snails, small crayfish,
worms, and small fish. Bullheads, will feed eagerly on nearly anything
available, either living or dead. The fish travel feed on or near the
bottom and will bite even when all other species will not. |

| Channel Cat: Stocking programs
satisfy the public demand for this fish has widened its distribution and
increased its abundance in nearly all man-made lakes, water-supply
reservoirs, and farm ponds. During spring flooding catfish have been
known to ascend even the smallest streams to inhabit the larger
pools in these creeks. |

| Walleye: This fish has large, whitish
glossy eyes and strong canine teeth. The color of the walleye is a brassy
olive-buff, sometimes shadowing to yellowish sides and white beneath. The
caudal fin has a silver or milk-white tip on the lower lobe. There are no
distinct dark bars on the sides of the body, but instead an
overall mottling of brown or black. |
